FIRST FOBURG.FILM FESTIVAL ARRIVES THIS WEEKEND | BLOG OF NEW ORLEANS
Originally conceived as an extended Marigny pit stop for bands on their way to the huge annual SXSW Conference in Austin, the locally run foburg music festival takes a cinematic step forward this weekend with the addition of an offshoot called foburg.film. Festivities begin on Friday night with screenings at Mimi’s in the Marigny, 2601 Royal Street. The program includes the Polish film Paths of Hate, The Hunter and the Swan Discuss Their Meeting, and shorts including the New Orleans-made Statue.
