Eric Kohn (who wrote this lovely write up of RPG OKC) is winning the first ever Media Legacy Award from Cinequest, along with Harry Knowles and Kenneth Turan.
Cinequest promises “an engaging conversation with Mr. Kohn” (as well as “a spectacular party”) and we’re told that part of that conversation will be a screening of RPG OKC.
Indiewire has undoubtedly had the most impact on independent cinema since it began in 1996, and as their Chief Film Critic and Senior Editor—and manager of their Criticwire Network—Eric Kohn enlightens audiences through enthusiastic and intelligent insight that immediately sparks conversation amongst industry and fans alike. Prior to Indiewire, Kohn worked with film festivals and reviewed domestic and international films for numerous entertainment publications. A recent member of the New York Film Critics Circle, Kohn believes that critics should develop an authoritative voice with their work. Join us at our Opening Night on Tuesday, March 4th at the California Theatre, when Eric Kohn will be the first recipient of the Cinequest Media Legacy Award. After an engaging conversation with Mr. Kohn, we’ll continue the evening with the incredibly entertaining film The Grand Seduction, followed by a spectacular party.
